About the Coach

Yu Hsiao grew up in the South Bay Area California since the age of 10. He has been known as a "Beast" ever since he joined high school cross country, then college triathlon club, and later to over a decade of professional triathlon racing. Some of his highlights include a 8:32 full Ironman, 3:50 Half Ironman PB, and a 2:25 Marathon PB.


Yu's determination and grit has earned him respect from his peers and the endurance sports community. Because he is not the biggest or the most physically talented, he spent extra efforts in studying and trying out a wide range of training methodology, ultimately outperforming many pros who are more physically advantaged. 


After retiring from professional racing, now Yu offers one-to-one coaching tailored to your personal needs. He will help you identify and overcome obstacles, and make the most efficient strategies to achieve your physical and life goals.
